It's been a while since the log blog post! Let's see, since January: Rori has turned 2 and he's started attending play school (he's off to a good start and can do simple algebra now. ha ha),
we had a family vacation in sunny Boracay (Rori's first plane ride since he came home from England. He loves airplanes and seatbelts now), Richa & I visitied Chris in Tokyo (and had our best sushi ever!) and I will finish my first marathon tomorrow (the power of positive thinking!). We are about to go to cousin Eggo's 7th birthday party this afternoon. In keeping with the Star Wars theme (Rori keeps on saying 'stah was' now), we spent last Sunday making an R2-D2 outfit for him. True to form, this came with diagrams and plans (just hand drawn this time). We give it about 2 minutes until Rori starts making a fuss and wanting out of his R2-D2 costume. Enough for a pic at least. It's going to be 'terrific two's' for Rori. Whoever said said 'terrible two's' must be mistaken. Ha ha. Let's see.

It's been a year since we got back to Manila. How quickly time flies! The past few months haev been eventful still, with Rori getting confined to hospital. Thankfully he's now back to his old self, and is running around everywhere. Here are a few pics. First is in front of our small tree (a lot smaller from last year's mega-tree at Ascott), Rori in his first barong for his Tito's wedding, and Rori playing with the polar bear at Rockwell. Here's Rori in his first carousel ride and his first dip in a pool. He loved both and made a fuss when we got him out of the pool. Maybe it's time for him to take swimming lessons like his younger cousin Mia.

I'm a Year Old!

Rori just turned 1 year old! Hard to believe it's been a year since he pulled his surprise on us. One minute we were ankle deep in the mud in the Hoppings, then we were off to the RVI the next day. This year, things turned out as planned and on schedule. Rori's Bob the Builder Party was a blast (Yes We Can!). Lots of fun games and prizes for the kids. Wearing the hard hats were fun too. His Bob the Builder ball cap (which lasted all of 10 mins) and cake toys were c/o his Ninang (Ate) Em and Ninong Glenn, cake was from Tita Ching. Yummy ice cream c/o Tito Eggie. Toy trucks were from his cousins. All in all, Rori had fun and was well behaved.
We also had a smaller dinner with his Titos and Titas last 26th. Rori had fun sporting his Barce outfit. We continued our Bob the Builder 'theme' with the GK build yesterday. Wish we had Dizzy to mix the cement for us!
